An M6 car crash has left six people suffering personal injury, including whiplash, and closed both carriageways near Stafford this weekend.
The car accident, involving a van and a people carrier, occurred on Sunday morning. The air ambulance had to be called out, closing the motorway in both directions for it to land between junctions 13 and 14.
A woman in her 50s, who was a passenger in the van, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire with a neck injury. The five other people involved in the road traffic accident were taken to Stafford Hospital complaining of abdominal injuries, neck and back pain, and whiplash injury. One was a nine-year old girl.
No news has been issued regarding the intents of any of the whiplash sufferers to make a compensation claim over their symptoms.
