A former professional video game player who suffered a whiplash injury in a Scottish bus accident has received a settlement for his accident injury.
Amounting to a four-figure sum, the whiplash injury payout recognises the negligence of the bus driver in failing to stop at a junction and driving at an unsafe speed. It was these two factors which ultimately led to the bus colliding with a parked car.
The claimant, who is 43-years-old and, after a decade working as a video game player on the sometimes lucrative professional circuit, now works in software development won his no win, no fee compensation payout in an out-of-court settlement.
His personal injury solicitor said that the claimant had received "a fair sum that recognises the pain and inconvenience caused by... his neck injury."
"He has now returned to working but suffered significant loss of income as a result of the whiplash injury," he added.
