Ipswich derby won by team with management nursing whiplash injury
A car accident involving two of Ipswich Town Football Club's managerial staff occurred this weekend as a Fiesta shunted their Land Cruiser 100ft forward and into a Vauxhall Vectra. They were left nursing whiplash injury and bruises.
The Fiesta burst into flames as a result of the collision, but a passer-by pulled the occupant to safety. Reports stated that five other people were injured in the car accident, and that all were treated at the nearby Broomfield Hospital.
A spokesman said, "The crash was frightening but it has not affected the run-up to the big game." The match against Norwich went ahead, despite the manager's whiplash injury, and Ipswich won 2-1.
