A woman from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia has launched a whiplashcompensation claim after suffering the neck injury in a terrifying car accident in which her vehicle was shunted into the path of an oncoming train.
The woman was waiting at a level crossing when her car was hit from behind and pushed onto the railway tracks. It is reported that the driver of the offending vehicle was uninsured.
The no win, no fee lawyer representing the woman's whiplashcompensation claim commented, "A train was coming and she thought she was going to die," Ms Hughes said.
"She managed to reverse off the tracks in time and then the boom gate crashed down on her car."
News of the whiplashcompensation claim has led to calls for improved safety measures to be introduced at Queensland's level crossings.
