Compensation sought for bizarre accident"Bus collides with plane and causes whiplash claim": no don't check the date, it's not April Fools' Day, just the reportage of a highly improbable vehicle accident. The incident in question occurred in Palma, Majorca, last week and involved a bus, which was ferrying passengers across a runway, somehow being driven into the path of a taxiing aeroplane, resulting in a number of passenger injuries and at least one whiplash claim. It was a British woman, from Lancashire, who was the confirmed neck injury casualty. She told press reporters, "We had just boarded the plane and people were still taking their seats or putting bags in their overhead lockers when the whole plane shuddered and everyone was thrown to one side. People were clearly shaken and several were complaining of minor injuries." "As a former tour operator representative, I sympathised with the position of the staff at the airport. But I am shocked at how little information we received. "No medical assistance was available and one passenger reportedly had a fit after the accident." Furthermore, various news media sources have reported that the woman has contacted a no-win, no-fee solicitor with a view to making a whiplash claim.
