A 29-year-old woman's whiplash wedding drama has ended in the right kind of tears - tears of happiness - after finally tying the knot with her new husband, more than 30 days later than she had originally intended to.
The couple had planned to marry one week before Christmas but had had their plans thrown into disarray when the 29-year-old bride-to-be was thrown from the horse-drawn carriage that was leading her to church, suffering concussion and whiplash in the process.
But, at the second attempt, the 29-year-old arrived at St Leonard's Church, Bretforton, by Rolls Royce, wearing a peach wedding dress and, this time, completely car accident injury-free.
The clearly ecstatic newlywed commented, "It has been brilliant, we are so relieved everything has gone smoothly and we have had our dream wedding."
The newly married woman has not indicated whether the horse-drawn carriage incident will result in her making a no win, no fee claim for whiplash compensation.
