Paralysed man seeks £300k compensationA 27-year-old man has made a £300,000 car accident compensation claim after a car crash has left him permanently disabled. The man from Stockton, North Yorkshire, had been travelling as a passenger when the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit an embankment causing the car to roll off the road. The accident victim suffered serious personal injuries to his spine which have left him paralysed from the neck down. He is now seeking car accident compensation and has made a claim against the driver of the vehicle and her insurers. It has been revealed in a High Court writ that the man is unlikely to ever work again and his life expectancy has been seriously reduced because of the injuries sustained in the accident. The driver, who admitted to driving without due care and attention during a hearing at Scarborough Magistrates' Court, was fined £150 and awarded six penalty points on her licence. She now faces a claim for £300,000 in car accident compensation made by the passenger of the accident, who also seeks an order which will allow him to return to court should his condition deteriorate.
