Car accident leads to death of two teens in Yorkshire
West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that two young brothers have died in a car crash that left their younger sister and stepfather in serious conditions in hospital.
The boys killed in the crash were 16 and 12. Tributes have been paid by classmates and other friends, and by their headmaster, who said, "Both boys had an openness and easy charm. Both were popular and very well liked by all. Our thoughts are with the boys' family and friends and we will do everything we can to support our pupils and our community at this very sad time."
The family was travelling near Leeds in a black Honda Civic when it was involved in a road traffic accident with a Mercedes, also black, travelling in the other direction. A witness appeal has been released.
