Dales car crash claims two lives and injures two othersA woman and a man were killed in a car crash in which a middle-aged couple were also seriously hurt near a Yorkshire village in the Dales. The road traffic accident occurred when a green Audi A8 was in a head-on collision with a red Peugeot 306 on the B6165 near Summerbridge in mid-afternoon. A 37-year-old woman, from Knaresborough, who was driving the Peugeot, and her passenger, a 32-year-old man from Harrogate, died at the scene. The couple in the Audi, who are in their mid-50s and from Grassington, were taken to Harrogate District Hospital with serious injuries. Traffic Sgt Neil Campbell, of North Yorkshire's Roads Policing Group, said, "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or seen either vehicle prior to it, to come forward as I urgently need to speak to them." When police inquiries are complete and any liability for the fatal car crash has been established, it may be possible for the victims or their dependents to make a claim for compensation through a no win no fee solicitor.
