Mother dies in Kent head-on car crashThe family of a young mother who died in a car crash in Kent may be seeking a compensation payment for her loss once responsibility for the vehicle accident, in which the other driver also suffered fatal injuries, has been established. The 28-year-old Queenborough woman, who had a three-year-old son, was killed on her way home from work at an assembly plant when her blue Ford Escort was in a head-on collision with a red Ford Sierra in Sheppey Way, Sheppey. She was declared dead at the scene. The 18-year-old Sierra driver, who was from Sittingbourne, died five days later as a result of the injuries he suffered. Three people who were passengers in his car were treated at Medway Maritime Hospital. To find out possible reasons for the road accident, police are anxious to hear from anyone who saw the collision or circumstances leading up to it. PC Malcolm said, "It was just before the start of the afternoon rush hour so the roads in the area would have been busy." When liability for the crash has been determined, the survivors and the dependents of those killed may wish to consult a personal injury solicitor with a view to making a damages claim.
