A Take That fan who missed a concert when his mother was involved in a car accident en route to the event have managed to attend the next day, thanks to the band.
A police officer who attended the scene of the car crash was able to mention the occurrence to the band while performing duties at the performance venue later on. He said, "I saw Gary Barlow saying goodbye to his wife, Jason Orange and the tour manager. When I told him about Ben and his mum he said, 'I'm not having that.' The band were really down to earth."
Take That arranged for three tickets to be made available to the ten-year-old fan and both of his parents to ensure that the road traffic accident should not prevent the family's enjoyment of the band.
The multi-vehicle smash resulted in the boy's mother suffering personal injury including whiplash as they drove to the Sunderland concert. No news has been forthcoming of intentions to make a compensation claim as a result of the car accident.
