A two-car accident in Brighton has resulted in an elderly woman needing to be cut free by emergency services workers. Although there were fears the passenger might have suffered very serious injuries, it has been established that the woman is suffering from cuts, bruises and whiplash.
The whiplashroad accident happened just after the peak hour rush, at a junction between London Road and South Road.
Once firefighters had used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the woman from the wreckage, she was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment to her whiplash.
No other person is reported to have sustained injuries in the incident. It is too early to speculate if any car crashcompensation claims will follow.
*A replacement vehicle can usually be supplied within 4-6 working hours, where there is an admission of liability from the other person’s insurance company. If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
