Texan bus accident leaves pupils with personal injuries
A serious bus accident in Texas has left 32 people with personal injuries after it flipped on to its side when it was hit by a truck.
The school bus, which had been carrying 29 children at the time of the accident, had been on its way to drop students off at the first of three school locations when it was hit by a hardware truck which had failed to come to a halt at a stop sign.
The road traffic accident caused a 9-year-old to be thrown through a window and the bus driver was knocked unconscious. Three of the 29 children on the bus were admitted to hospital for medical treatment, one of which was reported to be in a critical condition. The other 26 students were discharged with minor personal injuries, including cuts and bruises.
It has not yet been reported whether the families of the injured children will pursue bus accident compensation from the insurers of the truck driver.
