A man from Scotland is hoping to receive a large sum of road traffic accident compensation following an accident in which he sustained multiple personal injuries.
It has been reported that the 48-year-old was running when misleading road diversion signs led him to step onto the road in front of an oncoming bus when traffic lights turned red.
The man is making a compensation claim against a tram company which had reportedly failed to install appropriate signs to warn pedestrians of the different traffic flow.
However, representatives of the tram company have claimed that a painted sign did indeed warn pedestrians to "Look both ways".
The runner suffered fractures to his shoulder, knee and rib when the bus hit him. Although it is not known how much the man is likely to receive in road traffic accident compensation, if it is found that warning signs were not appropriately installed, he may be entitled to a large sum of damages.
