Road traffic accident claim unlikely for driver in one-car crashA man in his 20s, who suffered severe personal injury in a car crash in Harlington near Heathrow airport, may not be able to make a road traffic accident claim for his pain and loss of earnings. A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service stated, "We were called just after 4pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving one car. "We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated one patient, a man believed to be in his twenties. He was taken to St Mary's Hospital as a priority, with back and chest injuries." Police investigations show that no other vehicle was involved in the crash on Bath Road and, as a result, if the young driver wanted to make a road traffic accident claim for his back injury or chest injury, it is unlikely that anyone else could be found liable other than himself. However, if further investigations find that a problem with the road surface caused his accident, then he may be able to claim personal injury compensation from whichever organisation is responsible for road maintenance in the area. If anyone else had suffered injuries as a result of what may possibly be found to be dangerous driving on the young motorist's part, then they may have been able to make claims against him.
