A Portsmouth whiplash victim had to be cut free from her car following a car crash that closed the city's Eastern Road for an hour.
Emergency services attended the scene of the road traffic accident, which also involved a lorry and a second car. Ambulance crews were forced to call the fire service when it became clear that they would not be able to extricate the woman. The police closed the road for an hour, causing tailbacks as vehicles attempted to access the A27.
The woman was taken to hospital as a result of her personal injury. She is believed to have suffered whiplash and back pain. No report of compensation claims being planned by any of the drivers has been made.
