A car accident involving pop star George Michael is to become "an insurance fight", according to media coverage.
Police questioned the singer after a crash between a silver Land Rover and an articulated lorry, stated press reports that said the 46-year-old former star of pop band Wham! was released without charge.
George Michael, who has sold 100 million records across the world, is reported to have insisted he was "stone cold sober" when the smash happened and the matter would now be an insurance battle.
The Times newspaper stated that the lorry driver alleged the singer's driving had been poor just before the accident happened on the A34 near the M4 motorway - but in a statement published in the paper George Michael said he had done nothing wrong.
The pop star said in the statement that he blamed the lorry driver and did not want his family and friends worried about what they were reading about the car accident.
