Police car smash leaves teen injured

A 15-year-old has been injured in a car accident with a police car in Nottinghamshire.

The teenager was a passenger in a Citroen C1 that was on the Robin Hood Way, The Meadows when it crashed into a police car responding to an emergency call late on Monday morning.

The teenage passenger suffered a broken collarbone and was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment.

The other passengers in the Citreon suffered slight injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The two officers in the police car also suffered minor injuries in the traffic collision.

A traffic collision investigation is underway by Nottinghamshire police to determine the cause of the car accident.
