Paralysed man awarded car accident compensation

A man involved in an RTA with a stolen car has been awarded car accident compensation.

The incident occurred when the stolen car did not stop to give way at a junction and drove into the 49-year-old's vehicle.

The man suffered severe spinal injuries in the accident as well as fractured ribs, lung damage and serious head injuries which left him in hospital for six months.

The father of two has been left paralysed and wheelchair bound as a result of the accident and will require lifelong care.

The driver of the stolen car was charged with aggravated vehicle taking and sentenced to eight months imprisonment.

Following the accident, the victim made a £5 million car accident compensation claim but has since settled for an undisclosed amount in damages.
