Compensation news 05/05/2011
Motorbike accident is second fatality in villageThe family of a motorcyclist who died in a collision with a Ford Mondeo in Bretton, near Chester, may seek compensation for their pain, suffering and loss of earnings resulting from the motorbike accident. The victim had been riding a Yamaha motorcycle on an unadopted road when he was involved in the traffic accident, which did not cause any injury to the car driver. Residents living near the accident scene said it was the second fatal crash in the village within a few weeks. They are campaigning for a reduction in the current 60mph speed limit in an effort to reduce the number of serious personal injury accidents which have occurred. Police closed roads around the scene, including the lengthy Chester Road, while investigating the circumstances of the vehicle accident. Any witnesses of the collision are asked to contact officers at the Eastern Roads Policing Unit. Once police inquiries are complete and liability for the motorbike accident has been decided, any dependents of the Yamaha rider, who was in his 50s, may be in a position to seek advice from a specialist PI solicitor on making a damages claim.
