Car accident blocks M62 near Manchester in rush hour
A car accident left a stretch of the M62 near Simister blocked through rush hour this morning. Motorists were advised to avoid the area for fear of severe delays and further road traffic accidents occurring.
The car crash took place at 4.30am, and police were called to handle the scene. When they arrived they found that the vehicles involved were a road traffic management vehicle and a recovery vehicle. Dealing with the aftermath of the car accident took a number of hours.
One man had suffered personal injury to his leg, and another had suffered cuts, bruises and whiplash. Any witnesses to this car accident are asked to call the Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050.
