Lewes crash leads to woman being trapped for 45 minutes
A Lewes car accident this weekend left a woman needing to be cut from her car and her daughter suffering whiplash injury, reports the Sussex press.
The accident, a head-on smash, occurred at 11.20am, and it took emergency services 45 minutes to remove the woman from the wreckage before she and her daughter could be taken to hospital. The road remained closed for a further two hours while the scene was examined.

The driver of the other car involved in the road traffic accident, a 67-year-old man from Hastings, was also taken to the Conquest Hospital for treatment for whiplash injury. All three people involved in the crash were released after treatment.
