Five-car collision in Hertford

Multiple car crash claims could be sought following a car accident in Hertford.

The collision occurred outside Focus DIY stored in Madford Retail Park off Ware Road late in the morning on August 23.

The incident is believed to have occurred after a 59-year-old female driver crashed a Lexus through a wooden fence and struck a car on the other side.

Two women were loading goods into their boot when they were hit by their own car which was struck by the first car.

They both suffered minor injuries in the incident and were taken to Hertford County Hospital for treatment.

The Lexus also collided with three other cars in the incident but no one else was hurt.

A spokesperson for Hertford County Hospital said: "The circumstances [of the accident] are still being investigated."

It has not been reported whether a car crash claim is likely to be made against the Lexus driver.
