Gloucestershire car accident man was banned from driving in 2001
Further details have been released regarding the driver who is being blamed for the serious car accident in Gloucestershire that killed seven people this weekend, including himself. Two children remain in hospital with serious personal injury.
He had previously been convicted of drink driving following a non-fatal car crash on the same road, and then had received a five-year ban. He fled the scene of that car accident.
Residents of the area claimed to have seen the man driving recklessly in the hours and days leading up to the collision, including one person who complained to the police after seeing the man performing 'wheelies' on a motorbike with a nine-year-old girl on the pillion, with neither rider wearing a helmet.
Dozens of floral tributes have been left at the scene of the car accident. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
*A replacement vehicle can usually be supplied within 4-6 working hours, where there is an admission of liability from the other person’s insurance company. If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
