Ex-footballer seriously hurt in motorbike accident
A former Liverpool FC football player, Avi Cohen, may seek compensation when he recovers from a serious motorbike accident in Israel where he now lives.
The 54-year-old, who was the first Israeli to play in England, suffered serious head injuries in a collision in Tel Aviv.
It was reported that he was riding his motorcycle alongside a van or truck when one of the vehicles crossed into the other's lane, causing Cohen to fall. He was found on the pavement 30 metres away from the site of the road traffic accident.
The footballer's son, Tamir, who plays for Bolton, has rushed from the UK to be at his father's bedside with other family members who are praying he will recover from the serious personal injury he has suffered.
Israeli police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the motorbike accident.
