A fatal car accident occurred at 3.45am this Sunday in London, in which suspects crashed into a Vauxhall Corsa as they fled a police car in pursuit.
The suspects, who were driving a black Mercedes, began to drive at speed after an unmarked police car turned its lights on to chase them. It collided shortly after with the Corsa, killing the 30-year-old female driver. The occupants then fled the site of the crash.
Ambulance services said that three people had been taken to hospital with serious personal injury, and a young child had also been taken as a precaution. One victim had received what was described as 'life-threatening' head injuries in the car accident, and another serious injuries to her leg. A further sufferer has back pain, and potentially whiplash.
Police say that they have launched an inquiry into professional standards surrounding this car accident.
