Two men hospitalised for car accident involving four vehicles
Two people have sustained serious personal injuries, including a whiplash injury, following a four-vehicle car accident in Locks Heath, Southampton.
The car crash involved a Peugeot Partner van which had collided with a Land Rover Discovery in Church Road. A Kia Picanto and a Renault Master van were also involved in the incident.
The 89-year-old driver of the Kia car and a 74-year-old man who had been travelling in the Peugeot Partner van, both suffered personal injuries as a result of the collision.
One of the men is reported to have sustained a fractured sternum while the other suffered serious whiplash injuries. Both men were taken to Southampton General Hospital for medical treatment.
This is the latest of a series of road traffic accidents which have taken place on Church Road and residents are planning a campaign for traffic management measures to be installed that may prevent further car accidents taking place.
