Driver could face compensation claim for bus accident
A driver has been fined for causing a bus accident in Miami which left three others with personal injuries.
The bus driver had been travelling along South Miami Boulevard when she failed to stop at a red light and collided with a pickup truck at the intersection. The driver also failed to reduce her speed in order to avoid the road traffic accident from occurring.
The 41-year-old was taken to Duke University Hospital for medical treatment and was later charged for dangerous driving.
A passenger on the bus, the driver of the pickup truck, and a passenger in the truck were also taken to hospital for treatment of personal injuries. According to reports the injuries of all those involved do not appear to be life threatening.
Three other passengers were fortunate to leave the scene of the accident unharmed.
It has not yet been reported whether the personal injury victims will seek compensation against the driver for the bus accident.
