Seventeen hurt in Oxford Tube coach crashSeventeen people were hurt in a coach crash when their vehicle overturned close to an exit of the M40 in Oxfordshire. The double-decker Oxford Tube was travelling between London and Oxford with 33 passengers when it appeared to go out of control, crashed through a barrier and went down an embankment on its side. No other vehicle was involved. One person was thrown clear and another had to be cut from the wreckage. Several of those suffering from passenger injury were treated on the spot while the others were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Five people were seriously hurt, with a woman suffering a severe arm injury while another personal injury victim had a back problem. The driver of the bus, which is operated by Stagecoach, was said to be among the motorway accident victims. Oxford Tube and Thames Valley Police are investigating the coach crash and appealing for witnesses. If someone is found to be at fault in causing the accident, the victims may be able to seek compensation for their pain, suffering and loss of earnings.
