Personal injury news
Car crashes into shop under refurbishmentAn elderly man caused a car crash in Sidegate Lane West in Ipswich, where there is situated a row of shops. The man, who was 92-years-old, lost control of his red VW Polo motor and hit another car on the road. Subsequently, he mounted the pavement, hit a ladder, which forced the worker to jump to safety, and crashed into a shop which was in the process of being refurbished. Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, followed by the police, but the elderly man had not suffered any personal injury other than feeling shaken after experiencing the car accident. The cause of the man's loss of control over his vehicle has not been reported. It has also not been reported whether the worker who had to jump from his ladder, or the driver of the other car which was hit, were injured. If the elderly man is found responsible for injury to either of these people after losing control of his vehicle, then they could decide to take legal action and make a car crash compensation or personal injury claim for pain, suffering and loss of earnings.
