A soldier who only recently served in Iraq has won a car crash compensation settlement for an incident that left him with multiple injuries.
The solider had been passenger in a vehicle when the driver fell asleep at the wheel and collided with a heavy goods vehicle.
The car crashcompensation claim obtained damages for a number of injuries including, damaged knee ligaments, the loss of a finger and a multiple leg break.
Since suffering the accident, the soldier has endured considerable pain and has been limited in his ability to perform everyday tasks.
No win, no fee solicitors representing the soldier succeeded in getting his case heard through the civil courts after arguing that although the incident occurred in an army vehicle, the fact of this was irrelevant.
He will now receive a car crash compensation payout of £150,000.
