Guildford police car accident

A 24-year-old man may look to make a car crash claim following an accident with a marked police car in Guildford.

The driver was taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital with a possible whiplash injury after the accident between Old Lane and Ockham Lane in Guildford.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The police car driver was unhurt in the accident.

The Independent Police Complaints Committee (IPCC) is now investigating the car crash as is standard with all collisions involving police vehicles.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the scene to help them with their enquiries.

It is not known at this stage whether the driver is likely to make a car crash claim.
