A car crash occurred this weekend as two cars pulled out of the way of a police car on its way to attend a previous road traffic accident.
The cars, a Citroen and a Ford, were involved in the collision on the A27 near Eastbourne. Reports suggest the damage to the Ford was quite extensive, and the occupants, two women and a child from Bedfordshire, were taken to hospital with minor personal injury.
One lane was closed for some time as the car crash was cleared. Any witnesses to the accident can call Polegate Traffic Policing Unit on 0845 6070999.
