Snow in the South East of the UK has led to fears of car accidents resulting from slippery road surfaces. Drivers in Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire have been encouraged to avoid driving if possible, and to drive with great care on necessary journeys.
Radio alerts have reminded drivers that even if they are skilled enough to avoid road traffic accidents, other drivers may not be, and that a car crash that results from another motorist's errors is still likely to cause a driver personal injury.
Reports have also been released indicating that for every car crashed on the area's roads, further delays have been caused by vehicles being forced to negotiate a route around the car accident.
*A replacement vehicle can usually be supplied within 4-6 working hours, where there is an admission of liability from the other person’s insurance company. If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
