Woman hospitalised in Scottish car crash

A Scottish car accident has left an Aberdeen driver hospitalised in a critical condition this weekend.

The woman suffered personal injury including a broken pelvis, bruised lungs and a brain injury. It has been reported as "one of a spate of smashes" on roads in the North-East of Scotland in recent weeks.

The road traffic accident involved two cars, and emergency services were sent to the scene. Fire crews had to cut the woman from her car.

The other driver in the car accident, who had been driving a Honda, was also taken to hospital as a result of personal injury suffered. It is not yet known whether either driver will face charges, or will bring a car crash claim as a result of the incident.
