Gloucestershire car accident kills family of three
A young mother and her children have died recently following a car accident with a lorry in Gloucestershire. An inquest has heard that the 26-year-old mum is thought to have been distracted by her children who were sitting in the back of the car at the time. Her daughter aged two and her six month old son also died at the scene. The Range Rover the young family were travelling in crashed into the 40-tonne HGV less than a mile from the lorry driver's depot. He escaped the scene with only minor injuries. He said, "It crossed the line and collided with the front of the lorry. I had no time to take evasive action." The young mum leaves two sons, Dylan, eight and Steven, five, who were both at school at the time. The investigating police officer concluded that the car crash had been caused by the female driver who had "made a sudden movement into the path of the lorry, which was traveling at 43mph." The Coroner said that it was "likely" the mother was distracted by her children which caused the car accident to happen.
