Drivers on the A14 eastbound carriageway at Huntingdon witnessed a car accident involving two lorries and a car.
The police closed the road, causing a traffic jam, while the scene was investigated and then cleared. The East of England Air Ambulance was also present above the incident, but was not needed.
Despite police reports of the car being trapped underneath one of the large vehicles, the woman motorist inside only suffered minor personal injury.
Neither the woman in the car nor the two lorry drivers needed hospital treatment.
The cause of the road traffic accident appears not to have been determined, but if any of the drivers had sustained a serious injury, subsequently, anyone found liable for the car accident may have compensation claims made against them for causing pain, suffering and loss of earnings.
