Six people suffered personal injury while visiting Goodwood racecourse this bank holiday weekend, after being involved in a car accident.
The crash occurred when the driver of a Jeep lost control while manoeuvring in the car park and rolled down an embankment. It then collided with two other vehicles and injured bystanders. Three of those who were hurt in the incident received crush injuries, the remainder receiving only minor personal injury - although five of the six car crash victims were taken to nearby Chichester's St Richard's Hospital.
No news has been forthcoming as to whether the bystanders intend to make a no win, no fee compensation claim as a result of this accident.
Emergency services, including Fire and Rescue and the Sussex Air Ambulance, attended, but their services were not needed in this car accident. Racing was delayed by half an hour as a result of the collision.
