A woman from Trinidad and Tobago has finally received car accident compensation for the damage done to her house when a vehicle smashed through her walls.
Although she is said to be delighted at having finally received the car accident compensation, it is understood that she felt a good deal of frustration during the six months it took the matter to be resolved.
In fact, it was only after she wrote a letter to the "People's Page" of a national newspaper that representatives from the relevant insurance company contacted her so as to expedite the payout of car accident compensation. Once this initial contact had been made, it took only days for the insurance company to arrange repairs to the woman's home.
Fortunately, no-one was injured in the incident, although it must be said that having one's house nearly destroyed may well be described as a very personal injury.
*A replacement vehicle can usually be supplied within 4-6 working hours, where there is an admission of liability from the other person’s insurance company. If this person is not known, their insurance details are not known, they are uninsured or there is a potential dispute over who caused the accident, a replacement vehicle cannot be provided.
