The man made the claim after suffering devastating head injuries in a car crash in March 2004 while travelling with his band.
Before the car crash, the Irish singer had been hoping to make a success of the boy-band he was a part of and was travelling with band members at the time of the crash. However, after having to undergo a tracheotomy following the car crash, the man can no longer sing due to the effects of the operation and will not be able to return to any form of work.
Due to the severity of his injuries which affected both his physical and mental ability, the man is unable to live independently and relies on 24-hour carers to assist him with his needs.
