Car accident compensation could be possible for M4 crash survivors

The survivors of a crash, which occurred on the M4 in June 2006, are taking legal action against a Japanese company which they believe is responsible.

The accident, which resulted in the death of one of the passengers, was reportedly caused due to the tyre thread on one of the vehicle's wheels becoming detached which caused a blow-out and made the driver lose control of the car.

Witnesses at the time stated that they then saw the car flip about ten times along the motorway, throwing three people from the vehicle.

One 26-year-old woman, the only fatality of the crash, was propelled across the central reservation and died from severe personal injury.

Now, the people who had been travelling with her have started a legal case against the manufacturers of the tyre, claiming that there was a factory defect in the tyre which caused it to fail.

The firm has responded that the driver's motoring style was to blame for the incident.

The car accident compensation claim case has not yet been decided but, depending on the outcome, the driver and remaining passengers may be awarded damages for their pain, suffering and loss of earnings.
