Injury compensation secured for boy in tragic case
"The highest ever approved award for a spinal injury" has been secured by personal injury solicitors representing the car accident claim of a boy who suffered life-changing injuries after being accidentally run over by his own father.
The legal team representing the boy, who was only two at the time of the accident in 2002, successfully argued that the boy suffered his injuries, which included damage to his spinal cord, skull fractures and a stroke, as a result of his father failing to see him as he reversed his car during a family day out at Mead Open Farm. The father admitted liability for the car accident claim.
The car accident claim compensation settlement will be paid with an initial lump sum of £2.5 million, followed by yearly index-linked payments of £220,000.
