A woman who made a car accident claim after she suffered severe personal injuries in a car crash has now had her claim amount questioned.
The woman was injured in September 2006 in Fulmer, Buckinghamshire. Her car was hit by a van resulting in a fracture to her left leg and right arm. Both injuries required surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process.
Following the car accident, the woman made a compensation claim for £2,000,000 which included a claim of £1,700,000 for future loss of earnings and £185,000 to pay for care of her horses.
However when the trial came to court, new evidence gathered from covert surveillance showed the claimant walking in the countryside without the aid of a crutch despite her claims that she needs one.
Following the evidence, the claimant's case was adjourned by the judge to allow her legal team time to examine the damning evidence and reconsider her high car accident compensation claim.
