Compensation claim news 28/04/2011
Car accident claim possible after crash in ScotlandA two-vehicle accident, which occurred on the A75 near Kennedy Castle in Scotland, might result in a car accident claim being made. The road traffic accident occurred when a collision involving a Vauxhall Astra and lorry took place early in the morning leaving a 20-year-old driver of the Vauxhall with critical personal injuries. He was taken to a Glasgow hospital to receive medical treatment. The man driving the lorry escaped the accident without sustaining any injury. Police are undertaking enquiries into the circumstances of the crash, and appealing to any witnesses to come forward. To avoid any further dangers to motorists the A75 was closed for several hours with diversions set up until the road was eventually reopened later in the day. At this time it is unclear whether a car accident claim will result from the outcome of the case as police are still investigating and waiting on further word from the Vauxhall driver being treated in Glasgow. Should the uninjured HGV driver be found liable for the Vauxhall driver's severe injuries, then the victim, or his family, may choose to make a compensation claim for pain, suffering and any loss of earnings.
