Romantic road rage increases chances of an accident
One in 12 motorists has admitted having had to make a car accident claim after arguing with their loved one.
In the survey conducted by the Daily Mail, 8% of the UK's 28.9 million motorists in a relationship said they have had a bump, scrape or full-on accident after getting in their car following a row with a partner.
The study showed that 'romantic road rage' affects nine million UK drivers with nearly half admitting they concentrate far less on the roads after an argument.
Experts have warned that drivers who have had a row should have a 'cooling off period' of at least one hour before getting behind the wheel.
Tiger Wood's infamous car crash dramatically exemplifies this as he crashed into a tree late last year following a row with wife over allegations that he'd been unfaithful.
A blazing row, a few snide words or even the silent treatment can be enough to affect your driving so experts suggest that you should ensure that you have completely calmed down before getting in the driving seat to help prevent against any 'romantic road rage' related car accident claims.
