Relatives of an elderly woman seriously injured in a pedestrian accident could make a car accident claim after the woman was left fighting for her life.
The Rustington woman was in collision with a car at about 4.20pm on June 6 while walking along The Street in the village.
The 70-year-old was taken to Worthing Hospital with serious injuries following the crash where she remains.
The driver of the car which hit her was unhurt.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the car crash to come forward to help them with the enquiries.
Anyone with any further information should call PC Phil Badman at Chichester Roads Policing Unit on 0845 6070999.
Until the investigation into the crash has concluded, the family is unlikely to be able to make a car accident claim.
