A light sprinkling of snow caused several car accidents across the UK as Britain has been hit once more by icy road conditions. Although not as heavy as snow experienced at the start of the year, the flurry is likely to increase the number of car accident claims made this week.
During rush hour on Monday morning, a two-car collision on the Thanet Way at St Nicholas at Wade caused long tail-backs on the London-based carriageway while the road was partly closed.
A Peugeot 206 struck the central barrier and then a Renault collided with the first car.
Both drivers were treated for minor injuries by paramedics.
It has not been reported if either of the drivers are likely to make car accident claims following the traffic collision to gain accident compensation for the damage to their cars.
Police are reminding drivers to be careful on the roads while the cold weather continues.
