Elderly driver still in hospital following car crash
An 89-year-old man may be making a car accident claim after he was injured in a car crash in Argyll and Bute.
The man's Fiat Punto was in collision with a Mazda during an overtaking manoeuvre on the A815 near the Whistlefield Inn at Lock Eck on Monday afternoon (March 8).
The elderly man was airlifted from the scene and transferred to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where he remains in a "serious but stable" condition.
The 62-year-old Mazda driver and his passengers went home after treatment at Dunoon Community Hospital.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the car accident and it has not yet been reported how the crash occurred.
It is also unknown at this stage whether either party are likely to make car accident claims for the injuries they received.
