Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman has reached an out-of-court settlement with a woman who made a car accident claim against him.
The woman was a passenger in Freeman's car when the car crash happened in August 2008. She claimed that the actor had been drinking before driving and had sued Freeman for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, permanent disability and property damage.
The woman also complained that she had been labelled "the other woman" and had caused the breakup of Mr Freeman's marriage.
It was not long after the crash that it was announced that Mr Freeman's marriage to Myrna Colley-Lee had ended and they were seeking a divorce.
Following the settlement, the Million Dollar Baby star's case has now been dismissed. Mr Freeman's lawyer refused to disclose the terms of the car accident claim agreement, but said: "We're all glad it's over with."
