Car accident claim news

Five-year-old goes on joyride in dad's 4x4A five-year-old boy may now be at the centre of a series of car accident claims after taking his father's car out for a joyride. The pint-sized driver miraculously escaped his 4 mile jaunt uninjured despite driving his father's 4x4 along sections of a busy dual carriageway near Chichester in West Sussex. Police received dozens of 999 calls after the young driver was spotted by surprised motorists who could only see the top of the head of an "erratic" driver travelling at low speed. The boy, from the village of Tangmere, stood as he drove the automatic Mitsubishi Shogun on a 20-minute journey through the Sussex countryside. Miraculously, the child managed to avoid having a car crash, although two parked cars were hit as well as a brick wall outside a £800,000 property. A West Sussex Police spokesperson said, "It's a bizarre case and we are not taking action against anyone." However, the parents of the child may have to deal with some rather costly car accident claims for the damage their adventurous son made during his escapade.
